INPUT

Input

Roopsons firm is a garment manufacture firm so input for the firm  is all the raw material which is use in making in finished goods.
Firm’s inputs are following—

  1.  Raw cloth   –

   2. Threads --

3. Buttons –

4 Size tags-

5. Fancy Mono –

6. Collar bandage -

Transformation Process

    Transforming process

Transforming process or manufacturing process is depends on skills of workers.   Firstly, all the raw material or input collected which is required after that, it is send to different worker and workers processed on them.
In transforming process required cloth to be cut into required sizes and design as per the measurement of latest design then the required lining, button stitching, zip etc. are added to semi finished garment and after that finishing  garment ready for packaging.
In Roopsons all the transforming process is completed in different way –

1        Cutting.
2        Sewing.
3         Stitching.
4        Ironing .
5        Packaging.

1.Cutting

In this process firstly Roopsons arrange the raw cloth and They have a workers for cutting of  the raw cloth according to required size and design.  For cutting of cloths Roopsons are having total 12 skilled employees and they are only their for cutting of cloths,"to cut the cloth according to it's width", which is to say, do the best (or make do) with what you've got. A tailoring/dressmaking expression? You lay the pattern on the cloth to fit it in.

Sewing

Sewing is the craft of fastening or attaching objects using stitches made with a needle and thread. Sewing is one of the oldest of the textile arts, arising in the Paleolithic Era. Before the discovery of spinning yarn or weaving fabric, archaeologists believe Stone Age people across Europe and Asia sewed fur and skin clothing using bone, antler or ivory needles and "thread" made of various animal body parts including sinew, catgut, and veins For thousands of years, all sewing was done by hand. The invention of the sewing machine in the 19th century and the rise of computerization in the later 20th century led to mass production of sewn objects, but hand sewing is still practiced around the world. Fine hand sewing is characteristic of high-quality tailoring, haute couture fashion, and custom dressmaking, and is pursued by both textile artists and hobbyists as a means of creative expression.
In Roopsons firm after cutting of the cloth it the second assembly line where all the cut cloths are sewing by sewing machine according to the cutting made, it is the second process of transformation process.

Stitching  ---

After sewing the cloth, they are send for buttons locking through by stitching in Roopson’s, In Roopsons firm the Basic machine stitches which  are used are chain stitch, lockstitch, and over lock. Fancy machine stitches mimic traditional hand stitches using variations on the basic stitches.
A row of stitches fastening two objects together is called a seam. Seams are classified by their position in the finished object (center back seam, side seam) and by their construction (flat-felled seam).

Sorting

In Roopsons firm shorting of cloths refers to the finalizing the overall work done or it is the second last step of transforming the input into finished cloths in shorting Purely decorative techniques such as shirring, smocking, and embroidery are done in cloth.

Ironing

Ironing is the work of using a heated tool, or tools, (an iron) to remove wrinkles from fabric. The heating is commonly done to a temperature of 100°Celsius. Ironing works by loosening the bonds between the long-chain polymer molecules in the fibers of the material. While the molecules are hot, the fibers are straightened by the weight of the iron, and they hold their new shape as they cool. Some fabrics, such as cotton, require the addition of water to loosen the intermolecular bonds. Many modern fabrics (developed in or after the mid-twentieth century) are advertised as needing little or no ironing. Permanent press clothing was developed to reduce the ironing necessary by combining wrinkle-resistant polyester with cotton, in Roopsons firm ironing used to remove the wrinkles from the cloths and for ironing Roopsons  are having number of Semi-Skilled employees.

OUTPUT

Packaging

Packaging is the science, art, and technology of enclosing or protecting products for distribution, storage, sale, and use. Packaging also refers to the process of design, evaluation, and production of packages. Packaging can be described as a coordinated system of preparing goods for transport, warehousing, logistics, sale, and end use. Packaging contains, protects, preserves, transports, informs, and sells. In many countries it is fully integrated into government, business, institutional, industrial, and personal use. So in Roopson’s firm it is the last process of transformation raw cloth into finished cloth and after that process the raw cloth or Input fully converted or Transformed into output.

Output:-

After transformation process like sewing, cutting, Stitching, Ironing, the raw cloths are transformed into ready-made garments or input is converted into output.

INPUT

INPUT
The Process Admission of the Students :--

Eligibility

Institute follows a policy of merit based admission. SAIMS & S will seek application from all graduates with minimum 50% marks in a recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration. Students appearing in their final year of graduation exam may also apply subject to their securing 50% aggregate marks.
Admission Procedure
The admission in PGDM would be through written test followed by group discussion and personal interview. SAGMAT (Sri Aurobindo Institute General Management Aptitude Test) would conduct its own written test. The Institute will also use scores of CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT and MET scores for those who have not taken SAGMAT for short listing the candidates. After short listing, group discussion and personal interview (GD & PI) will be conducted by the institute. The final admission will be based on the summative score of SAGMAT/ other exam, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. The admission procedure will incorporate weightage for duration and quality of prior work experience. Following would be the weightage:
  • Admission Test: 50%
  • Group Discussion: 15%
  • Personal Interview: 25%
  • Work Experience: 10%

There are many courses which are provided by SAIMS but in this Project we only take the PGDM program and  its Input &  Transformation process.

Transformation Process

Transformation Process

After the selection process ends or we can say that after admission of student in SAIMS  the student should attend the classes as per the schedule the steps of transformation of an students into an PGDMR’s are as follows:-

The PGDM course will be divided into 6 Trimesters each of 3 month duration. Trimester 1, 2, &3 will have 7subjects each.
At the beginning of the 4th Trimester the students will have to choose one sector out of 5 in which he/she would want to specialize (SECTORAL ELECTIVES 1/2/3/4/5).
The sectors offered are Retail, Rural, Telecom and Insurance & Banking. Each sectoral specialization elective has a total of 14 subjects which will then be covered in Trimester 4, 5 & 6. In the 6th Trimester the student will also have a project to be carried out based on the specific sector.
The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a degree equivalent to MBA but is more flexible in terms of course curriculum, evaluation pattern and examination system.
At SAIM&S they have closely knit our PGDM curriculum around Industry requirements and introduced subjects, topics and electives that are more relevant in terms of practical applicability.

To give more flexibility of choice to our students they have introduced innovative SECTORAL SPECIALIZATIONS, which includes a set of different electives that are custom fit for different industries. It is only after going through the compulsory subjects and Industry Summer Internship in the first year that the students have to make a choice of the specialization.

Transformation Continue….

Unlike other courses where you are bound to a particular sector/industry from the beginning, this PGDM offers you the opportunity of making an informed choice at the end of first year when you have undergone all the fundamental subjects of management and industry training.

For PGDM, they have adopted a trimester system where the course of 2 years is divided into six trimesters of 3 months each. The Industry Summer Internship is sandwiched between the two years of the course. The trimester system, when compared to a semester system is more rigorous, tightly packed and keeps you on your toes throughout the curriculum. This makes you ready to take up the rigors of the industry in the real life scenario.

The degree is approved by AICTE.

Output

In the “sri arbindo institute of management and science  college”  After completing the course of  PGDM and after the learning whole things related to corporate world student will transformed into placement process, where different different companies come into the college campus for selecting capable person for managing things in the company. they used to many process for selection of the student like interview, written test, etc. and after all the process finally the student will select for a particular job.

                                                                      Conclusion

We would like to conclude that in service organization And manufacturing organization both have some similarity and some difference.
Manufacturing organization produce tangible goods but service organization provides intangible service.
After preparing the whole project we analyzed that in service industry the output which is generated by the input is only we feel and it cannot be seen and touch by anybody.
The process of transforming  input into output is pretty confirm in manufacturing industry but in service industry it is totally depend upon the human psychology of the person who get the service.
